DOUG FRANK 

The president of Frank Development, practiced real estate and commercial law prior to entering the real estate development business. He is a graduate of Stanford University and the Arizona State University College of Law.  Bob worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. as an assistant to a United States Senator, and has served on numerous boards and commissions in the City of Phoenix, including the Design Review Standards Committee and the Community Development Block Grant Steering Committee.  He served on the City of Phoenix Planning and  Zoning Commission for eight years, including  one year as Chairman.

By researching emerging trends in terms of housing product and developing growth areas, the Franks have been able to navigate changes in the market throughout the various cycles in the Arizona real estate economy over the years. Having experience developing single-family homes, condominiums, luxury garden apartments and high-density urban apartments provides the Franks with a unique ability to capitalize on strengths in the marketplace as they develop.  As growth changes the boundaries of the Phoenix metropolis, the Franks are able to identify developing opportunities.  Research into new developments in architecture and construction help make communities developed by the Franks more lasting and sustainable.  Projects developed over forty years ago remain beautiful, viable properties.  Each community is adapted to the geography, demographics and architecture of the particular neighborhood, which avoids the cookie-cutter look that many production builders create.

There are now two generations of Franks crafting residential communities in the Phoenix marketplace.  After graduating from Stanford University and the Arizona State University College of Law, Bob Frank was a practicing attorney until he decided that real estate development was his calling.  He served as corporate counsel for one of Arizona’s largest real estate development companies before joining with his father, Doug, to continue the family tradition of residential development and construction. .

The Franks were awarded the opportunity to build the first market rate apartment community in Downtown Phoenix after a competitive Request For Proposals process sponsored by the City of Phoenix.  The building industry has recognized their high standards of excellence.  The Central Arizona Chapter of the National Association of Homebuilders presented two MAME awards to the Franks’ Toscana at Tatum Ranch project for Best Community Under $150,000 and Best Product

 Doug brings to Frank Development decades  of successful real estate experience in the metropolitan Phoenix marketplace. His companies have developed nearly 6,000 homes and apartments, predominantly in the Phoenix metropolitan marketplace, but in Tucson, Las Vegas, Reno, Denver and El Paso, as well. He has held both a Broker’s License and a General Contractor’s License for over 40 years.
